Supporting Ormiston Education

Ormiston Trust also funds Ormiston Education, an organisation working to bring support, consultancy and training to schools, and is committed to investing and supporting the dynamic to create successful schools, learners and communities.

Ormiston Education is a not-for-profit organisation, re-investing surplus income, and other identified funding sources, in new developments identified in liaison with partner schools.

It has a strong commitment to bringing a quality mark for the Every Child Matters agenda. The Quality Mark covers all five outcomes of the Every Child Matters agenda: Be Healthy, Stay Safe, Enjoy and Achieve, Make a Positive Contribution and Achieve Economic Well-being. The Standard can be achieved at one of three levels, which equate to the OFSTED levels of satisfactory, good and excellent. A school can achieve at one level and later progress to a higher level.

The process for achievement includes an electronic audit as well as the support of an Adviser and regional and national networks. A final assessment validates the achievement of the Standard.
